Taboo Salon is an instant spontaneous and and unhindered celebration. Taboo Salon is a self-made party that lends itself to whoever are present, whenever and wherever they are present, and with whatever tools they may have at their fingertips. Taboo Salon is a moment of human coalescing where human and cultural barriers are expressly let down for the sake of an aggregate experience of enjoyment and exploration. Through its contagious, festive character Taboo Salon is a democratic encounter that relies on the active participation of all who are present.

Taboo Salon is a new, interactive art event in Boston that is tackling human issues (that we normally keep under the table) via a series of music, art & theater presentations. Every Taboo Salon will explore a theme such as: Sex, Gender, Technology, Money & Happiness. You can expect showcase performances by musicians, comedians, improvisation artists that will encourage interaction and participation by audience members.

Meeting once per month as a focal point for artistic controversy and public discourse you are invited to join our online community and begin the discussion prior to each event. post your own songs, poems, videos or written responses. All submissions will be juried and several will be chosen and invited to be a part of the next gathering.
